Future Technology

Welcome to my blog. I'm interested in trends of any sort and will document emerging ones that I foresee having an impact on the development of popular and global culture.

Technology is by far becoming the most pervasive entity in my world. In the 2009 edition of the Merriam-Webster Collegiate Dictionary, some 25 new words were added including trend related items such as Acai and Goji, Vlog and Flashmob. In fact, a fifth of the new additions were direct technological inspirations which for me indicates that the acceptance of the fact that we actually live in the future has finally happened. The gulf between science fiction and science fact narrows daily with science fact dishing up some creations that have existed in our minds since we were children such as Mind Speller, a device which is able to convert our thoughts into text. On a more general level this device can provide that crucial mind to computer interface which Stephen Hawking would no doubt appreciate, if he hasn't already been using one.
